    10/24/2017 Nevada Institute on Teaching and Educator Preparation

    Description: Competitive grant to select an institution that will establish Nevada Institute on Teaching and Educator Preparation (SB548).
    Eligible Entities: ONLY available to a college or university within the Nevada System of Higher Education.
    Due Dates/Timeline: November 7, 2017

    10/3/17 Nevada Ready 21

    Description: Competitive grant to select the Nevada Ready 21 second cohort.
    Eligible Entities: School districts and state-sponsored charter schools on behalf of middle schools.
    Due: November 3, 2017 4:00 pm.

    9/18/17 Work Based Learning

    Description: A supplemental RFA to the College and Career Readiness Grant to fund the development and implementation of work-based learning programs over the 2017-2019 Biennium.
    Eligible Entities: All schools districts, including all district -sponsored charter schools, charter schools sponsored by the State Public Charter Authority, and Achievement Charter Schools.
    Due Dates/Times: Due Dates: October 20, 2017 5:00 pm.

    9/12/17 Turnaround RFA

    Description:Competitive grant to assist underperforming schools.
    Eligible Entities:Schools who did not meet their 2017 Measure of Interim Progress and have downward trending proficiency data, schools who have improved but need sustainability support and high schools with less than 67% graduation rate.
    Due Dates/Times:Application Due: October 18, 2017

    8/23/17 College and Career Readiness Grant SY 17-18

    Description: Competitive grant for expansion of coursework in the areas of STEM, Dual Enrollment, and Advanced Placement.
    Eligible Entities:All School districts, including all district-sponsored charter schools, charter schools sponsored by the State Public Charter School Authority, and Achievement Charter Schools.
    Due Dates/Timeline: Applications are Due on or before: Friday, September 22, 2017 5:00 p.m. Notice of Award: 10/20/17.

    7/31/2017 Read by Grade 3 Competitive Grant

    Description:This Nevada K.I.D.S. Read-Nevada's Read by Grade 3 Program includes a competitive grant opportunity. This third year of the grant (Phase III) - 2017- 2018 meets the statutory requirements indentified in Nevada's 2015 Read by Grade 3 Act (SB 391 - Section 15).
    Eligible Entities:This grant application process is open to all Nevada public school districts, district-sponsored charter schools, charter schools sponsored by the State Public Charter School Authority, and Achievement charter schools.
    Due Dates/Timeline:Applications are due on or before: Thursday, September 7, 2017 5:00 p.m.

      6/30/2017 Charter Schools Program Planning/Implementation Subgrant

      Description: Competitive subgrant to provide funding for the planning and program design and initial implementation of new charter school programs in the state.
      Eligible Entities: Qualified charter school operators: 1) schools not yet open for operation; 2) schools opening during the 2017-2018 school year; and 3) schools opened as of the 2016-2017 school year; OR qualified charter school developers (committees to form) with a notice of intent or application submitted to a Nevada charter school sponsor (SPCSA or ASD).
      Due Dates/Timeline: Notice of Intent to Apply Due: Friday, July 14, 2017 @ 5 pm
      Applications Due: Tuesday, August 15, 2017 @ 5 pm

      5/22/2017 Great Teaching and Leading Fund

      Description:Competitive grant to provide funding for: -Professional development for teachers, administrators and other licensed educational personnel -Programs of preparation for teachers, administrators and other licensed educational personnel -Programs of peer assistance and review for teachers, administrators and other licensed educational personnel -Programs for leadership training and development -Programs to recruit, select and retain effective teachers and principals.
      Eligible Entities:RPDPs, school districts, charter schools, The State Public Charter School Authority, NSHE Institutions, employee associations representing licensed personnel, non profit education organizations.

      Description: To establish or expand pre-kindergarten education programs.
      Eligible Entities: School districts and/or community based organizations.

      3/15/17 FY18 State CTE Competitive Grant

      Description: State CTE Competitive Funding is to develop new or expand existing career and technical education programs. 

      Eligible Entities: 9-12 grade CTE Programs.
      Timeline: Applications Due: March 17, 2017 5:00 pm

      12/5/2016 Charter School Dissemination Subgrant

      Description: To provide financial assistance for existing high-quality charter schools to disseminate information about best practices of the charter schools to other public schools and/or interested parties.
      Eligible Entities: State or district sponsored charter schools in operation for a minimum of three years and meet the definition of a high-quality charter school.

      12/1/2016 Charter School Planning/Implementation Subgrant

      Description: To provide financial assistance to eligible applicants for the post-charter planning, program design, and initial implementation of charter schools within the first three years of operation.
      Eligible Entities: State-sponsored charter schools, or charter school developers.

      11/15/2016 Broadband and WAN Access and Improvement Matching Grant

      Description: These funds may be used for any broadband construction project that can bring broadband to a school, such as the installation of fiber optic cable, microwave towers, or other similar broadband/WAN projects.
      Eligible Entities: Schools districts or state sponsored charter schools.
      Application Due: 1/18/17
      Notice of Award 2/6/17. All funds spend by 6/30/17

      10/27/2016 Mathematics and Science Partnership Program

      Description: The intent of this program is to encourage institutions of higher education, local school districts, elementary schools, and secondary schools to participate in professional development activities that increase the subject matter knowledge and teaching skills of mathematics and science teachers.
      Eligible Entities: Higher education, local school districts, elementary schools, and secondary schools

          5/6/2016-Teach Nevada Scholarship

          Description: Created in State General Fund in 2015 via SB511 to provide scholarships to new students pursuing initial teacher licensure programs through state approved universities, colleges, or ARL providers.
          Eligible Entities: New students pursuing initial teacher licensure programs through state approved universities, colleges, or ARL providers.
          Timeline: Application Due 5/27/2016 5:00 pm Tentative allocations made 6/16/16, with final allocations made 9/7/16.

          5/06/16-Social Workers in the Schools Grant

          Description: Block grant funding through SB515 Sec. 23 of the Legislative Session, to provide social workers/other mental health professionals to schools demonstrating need. 
          Eligible Entities: Nevada Public Charter Schools, Nevada Public Schools and School Districts.
          Timeline: Application Due 6/6/16 
          Notice of Award upon release of funds through the June IFC.

          4/20/2016-Turanaround Grant 2016-2017

          Description: Competitive grant to support school improvement

          04/04/2016-McKinney-Vento

          Description: Competitive grant to support programs that facilitate the academic success of students experiencing homelessness, and guaranteeing access to all appropriate educational opportunities and services.
          Eligible Entities: School districts including the State Public Charter School Authority, serving students experiencing homelessness in Nevada at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
