School Improvement, District
Improvement Plan, Restructuring, and Turnaround
Templates
All
public schools, including charter schools, and
districts are required to prepare and submit a plan
to improve the achievement of students enrolled in
the school or district (NRS 385.37603). The Nevada
Department of Education (NDE) has developed the
Student Achievement Gap Elimination (SAGE)
research-based school improvement process to assist
school and district improvement efforts. School
Improvement Plan (SIP) and District Improvement Plan
(DIP) templates can be accessed by clicking on the
links below. Schools may use
the template options offered by the Department or
may use their district’s NDE-approved SIP template.
Districts use the adopted District Improvement Plan
template.
There
are two School Improvement Plan Template options
available on the NDE website which consist of an
electronic version and an on-line version. All
School Improvement Plans are due on January 31, 2012
for 2011-2012.
Schools
that are in Year 4 and beyond of In Need of
Improvement (INOI) are required to develop and
submit Turnaround Plans (for Non-Title I schools) or
Restructuring Plans (for Title I schools) to NDE by
June 30.
