Under the authority of the Senate Bill formerly known as SB404, the Commission on Educational Excellence selects the recipients of funding from the Account for Programs for Innovation and the Prevention of Remediation. The grant review process is competitive in accordance with the criteria specified under state statute as outlined in the grant application. Grant awards are to be made to public schools and school districts within the State of Nevada based on the applications approved by the Commission.
